2008 Recipient of the Clay Roberts Memorial Scholarship
In River Or Ocean is proud to announce that the first Clay Roberts Memorial Scholarship was awarded to Sean Brown on May 22, 2008. Sean, a graduating senior at Bishop Kenny, was selected by the Scholarship Committee, as the student who best emulated Clay’s spirit and values. Clay had talked of a career revolving around boats and marine activities. We knew Sean liked to fish when he was selected, however we had no idea that he was going to receive an appointment to the Merchant Marine Academy.
